Valentine’s in the Smoky Mountains
So you have decided to go all out and take your significant other on a trip to the Smoky Mountains for Valentine’s Day, but you don’t want to stop there, right? So what do you do once you’ve gotten there to take this romantic trip over the top? There are several places that you can take your loved one to make them feel extra special this holiday!
A Night on the Town
Take them out for a night in Gatlinburg. Begin your night at one of Galtinburg’s most praised restaurants, the Peddler. The Peddler steakhouse offers the best steaks in Galtinburg and you can not go wrong picking this place for a romantic dinner. Combine the dim lighting with the relaxing views of the creek that runs parallel to the eatery and you have got the perfect location to set the tone for the night.
Next go just right down the road and take a relaxing ride up the Gatlinburg Skylift. Here you will be able to ride above the little town of Gatlinburg and see all the beauty of the mountain night around you. You can also get an up close view of the SkyBridge and SkyDeck, opening Spring 2019. From here, visit one of the many wineries in town, and pick up some chocolate covered strawberries from Ole Smoky Candy Kitchen.
Fun and Games
If you want to take the more social approach there are a few other things to explore in Pigeon Forge. The two of you could start your night off at going to a restaurant such as Margaritaville or, in the next couple weeks, the new Dave and Busters. Dave and Busters will give you food plus entertainment for hours. Next you can schedule an escape game. Because most rooms have the availability for up to 8 people, you will have the opportunity to work together, but also mingle and meet new friends along the way. By far the best Escape games in the Smokies are the ones at the Island. Stroll around the Island, seeing all the shops and venues that it has to offer. One last stop for the ending to a perfect night would be to take a ride on the ferris wheel!
Romantic Evening In
If you want to get really romantic, go ahead and take out all the work for your sweetie. No going out, no getting ready, just relax and enjoy each other. How, you might ask? There is a Kroger and a Publix conveniently located right at light #3 in Pigeon Forge. Head out and grab a few things to cook right in the comfort of your own cabin. Or better yet, take the work out for both of you and order in. Crowd favorites such as the Old Mill offer meals to go. Also wonderful restaurants such as Stonehouse Pizza on Walden’s Creek Road, offer delivery. Enjoy a nice meal before you soak in your jacuzzi, or take a night dip in the hot tub under the stars.
There are so many things to do here, including dinner shows, entertainment shows, and restaurants, that no matter which route you decide to take, you can not go wrong this Valentine’s Day. The only way to do Valentine’s the wrong way is by not booking your trip to the Smokies. Go to maplesridge.com today to start booking your romantic getaway for you and your sweetheart!
